07 Jan First couple days of Christmas fun
Our Christmas trip to Raundalen startet off with a five hour travel to the cabin at Reime, which normally takes about 2 hours. The long travel was due to what is referred to as “all year” car tires here in Norway. That doesn’t really work very well in the mountains during winter, so we got stuck with the van a couple of kilometers from the parking lot. Stuck in the meaning of 1,5 hours of digging, pushing and swearing. We ended up at the cabin, which is about 2 steep kilometers from the parking lot, about 2.30 PM at night.
However, the conditions at Reimegrend was worth the difficult trip, with powder snow up to our ears. The video below shows the first 2 snow adventures, the first of 14 great hikes!
